Book Nook Laser Cutting Files | DIY Bookshelf Insert & Display Box | 3mm, 3.2mm & 4mm | AI, EPS, DXF, PDF & SVG

Create your own miniature world with these book nook laser cutting files. Designed to sit between books on a shelf, these wooden display boxes provide a blank starting point for miniature scenes, dioramas and personalised bookshelf decorations.

Choose from four front designs, including a rounded arch, pointed Gothic arch, rounded rectangular opening and an engraved brickwork design with a broken-wall opening. Add your own scenery and decorative details to create a book nook that suits your favourite theme.

Each design features a rear-access top drawer with a semicircular finger pull and a perforated panel beneath the drawer area. Leave the wood natural or personalise it with a suitable paint or finish.

Cutting files are included for 3mm, 3.2mm (1/8 inch) and 4mm materials, allowing you to select the version that suits your chosen sheet thickness.

Cutting & Assembly

Use the files with laser cutting machines whose control software supports a supplied format and whose hardware is suitable for your chosen material.

Select the cutting files for 3mm, 3.2mm (1/8 inch) or 4mm material to match your sheet thickness. Before cutting, check the imported scale, dimensions and joint fit. Measure your material’s actual thickness, allow for your machine’s kerf and test a small joint section first.

Dry-fit the panels before final assembly and use a suitable wood adhesive where required. Keep drawer runners and moving joints free from excess glue, paint or finish so the drawer can slide freely. If resizing the design, adjust joints and clearances separately to maintain a suitable fit.

Please note: This listing is for digital laser cutting files only. No physical book nooks, books, materials, miniature scenery, lighting or accessories are included. Compatibility depends on your software, laser cutting machine and material setup.
